Reported
The world generation library that BetterNether and BetterEnd use on Minecraft 1.21.1.
Runs on: Server only
Nether and End biomes shuffle after every restart
- The bug
- After each server restart, BetterNether and BetterEnd areas keep their shapes but get new biomes, so fresh land stops matching the land next to it.
- Why
- The picker reads its biome list in an order that Java picks fresh every time it starts, so the same random roll lands on a different biome.
- Our fix
- A small server mod sorts that list by biome ID before the picker uses it, so every start uses the same order.
- Tested
- On a test copy of a server we look after, two starts without the fix agreed on 4 of 14 biome checks. Five starts with it agreed on all 14.
- Needs WorldWeaver 21.0.25 exactly.
- The main WorldWeaver project fixed this for Minecraft 1.21.6 and newer. Our post asks for the same fix on 1.21.1.
